About the Role :
variety of hands-on material science analyses on medical device products, raw materials, and process materials samples in support of the company Quality, R&D, Process Development and Manufacturing.
Primary focus is customer service, coordinate and control inventory of consumables, proficient use of MTAC laboratory equipment such as cross-
sectioning, images techniques (SEM - X-Ray - Optical), analysis techniques (Microhardness - TGA - FTIR). Support process and equipment maintenance and recommends corrective actions where necessary.
Maintain and update data files and forms, databases, spreadsheets in the lab such as maintenance records, metrics, 5s. Prepares data summaries and reports of test results for Lab Engineers and Lab internal customers.
Your Responsibilities Include :
Understanding the client's needs and requirements of the requested service, login and handling of requests and archiving of document records.
Collaborates with Lab Engineers and Lab internal customers to plan analysis test campaigns for material characterization or problem solving.
Coordinate and lead the inventory as well as laboratory consumables, quotes, follow up purchases.
Organizes, executes, and maintains lab operations including test instruments, accessories, calibrations, preventive / corrective maintenance, and supplies.
Use documentation systems to research information and generate document changes, as well as use scientific knowledge to read and interpret SOPs and Work instructions to perform laboratory tests according to the requirements established in the lab.
Performs new equipment qualifications and writes protocols, SOP’s and technical documents.
Identify and lead departmental initiatives related to best quality practices and continuous improvement.
Use good laboratory practices to ensure accuracy of results. Look for the adequate help when needed and create the communication channels for the required support.
Take, preserve and update metrics department such as C5M metrics, continuous improvement (CIBs), EHS metrics, red tag’s in the lab, 5s activities and results.
What We’re Looking For :
Technical Degree relating to materials science, physics, chemistry or mechanical technology.
English Level required : B2 : (60% - 70%).
At least 2 years of experience in similar position or +5 years as a technician.
Desired knowledge : Microsoft Office Basic, Customer focus, experience working in a materials testing equipment.
A person with Strength in communication, collaborative, accountable, autonomous-independent, adaptable and interested in learning.
1 year or more in current position.
Annual Performance evaluation rating "Meets Expectations" or "Exceeds Expectations".
