We are looking for a Citrix Support Engineer to join our team
The position requires a senior-level engineer with a minimum of 8 years Windows and Citrix : NetScaler , XenDesktop and XenApp experience within in a large and diverse enterprise environment.
At least 5 years’ experience with PVS and virtual desktop support and project deployments. Microsoft Azure and Citrix Cloud experience is recommended not mandatory.
Essential Job Functions :
Citrix NetScaler support and implementation
Citrix XenDesktop 7.x support and implementation
Citrix XenApp 6.5 support and implementation
Citrix and Azure Cloud based Implementation
Ever greening, updating Citrix products to the latest version
Escalate software bugs to vendors
Performance optimisation of Citrix environments
Participate in projects, deploy / update virtual desktop environment content, and engineer scripts, to enable all image components and customization to be integrated into client-
specific images in a fully automated and unattended manor by following standard processes
Create images and test them to ensure they are engineered to user’s specifications
Troubleshoot, resolve and track engineering issues found with the images
Produce all required documentation including engineering documents, test plans and their results
Support application engineers in troubleshooting application issues
Ready to work in shifts (including night shift) on rotation basis
Participate and adhere to Change Management and ITSM processes.
Work with Multiple teams to arrive at a problem resolution.
Additional Responsibilities :
Engineer solutions for OS and virtual desktop customizations, using scripting and standard vendor toolsets.
Interface with internal resources (eg. Engineering, network team, storage team, database team, SCCM team.
Provide process and toolset improvement / issues feedback
Manage workload, report on status and proactively escalate issues
Provide technical support to other team members as required
Train and guide new resources
Mandatory Skills :
Advanced knowledge of Citrix NetScaler
Advanced knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop 7.x and XenApp 6.5
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft windows 7 / Windows 2008R2 / Windows 2012R2 / Windows Server 2016
Advanced knowledge of PVS 7.x
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting
Microsoft File and Print Services.
Advanced understanding of GPOs affecting client devices (local and AD)
Advanced knowledge of Windows OS customizations
Knowledge of Microsoft App-V
Knowledge of Microsoft OS deployment methods
