Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Develop different programs in order to create general documentations for the critical systems and equipment to assure high level of reliability.

Coordinate with the F, M & T Manager and team the activities required for the successfully implementation of the different projects.

This position need to have control and fill general documentation regarding the Facilities, Maintenance and Testing function.

You are responsible for

Provide guidance to the F, M & T staff to ensure the proper operation of all critical and non-critical systems and equipment in the Costa Rica location by controlling, evaluating and improving general documentation with applicable regulations.

Plan and control budget compliance.

Analyzed and resolve the operational excursions, NCR’S,CAPAS and other exceptions documents in the department.

Additional functions may be to manage some contractors as Pest control company, external contractors and consultants.

Lead continuous improvement activities related with quality systems documents and cost reduction projects.

Responsible for managing the spare parts definition, inventory and budget.

Responsible for improve and create troubleshooting work instruction for the facilities and testing equipment,

Creation and follow up, metrics and OEE analysis.

Responsible to support testing equipment in the manufacturing floor

Support and lead transfer projects.

Participated at the improvement teams that the company requires

Is responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards of Environment, Health and Safety of his team

Supports Facilities, Maintenance and Testing Manager with management reporting and various operational requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience


  • Requires University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronical, Electromechanical Engineering, Maintenance Industrial Engineer or relative.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Desirable demonstrated knowledge and understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations, Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Knowledge on Windows environment
  • Knowledge related to data base analysis
  • Basic knowledge on programming system

  • Knowledge in EHS field
  • Knowledge about project management


  • Electromechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer At least Licensed level.

  • Knowledge in EHS field
  • Knowledge about project management

  • Ordered, positive, realistic and optimistic person
  • Leader in the Facilities and Manufacturing field and able to manage different contractors, projects and situations at the same time
  • Good communication with different job level position (Managers, technicians, operators, suppliers and contractors)
  • Always able to apply the teamwork, manufacturing strategies such as TPM, Lean manufacturing,
  • 6 S, etc.

  • Person skilled in the decision making
  • Lead personal during projects implementation and support manufacturing floor
  • Negotiation’s skills
  • Able to participate in field activities as executive range
  • Person who promotes innovation strategies in the plant as energy saving, environmental conservation, among other
  • Availability to attend events in non-ordinary schedules.
