Responsibilities
You will be part of the Advanced Radar Solutions team in San Jose, California building next-gen automotive radar and self-driving perception technologies using advanced signal processing techniques.
Lead the development of next-gen algorithms that solve practical challenges in automotive radars including but not limited to high-resolution array angle estimation problem, MIMO waveform multiplexing / de-multiplexing algorithms, radar-on-radar interference mitigation, etc
Perform novel problem modeling, advanced mathematical algorithm development, prototype simulation in Matlab / C / C++, real-data validation with experimental systems, embedded software implementation, and system integration and testing tasks
Work with NXP hardware SoC architects and help design the next generation of NXP automotive processors and MMICs.
Work with NXP software team to assist productization.
Apply your project management skills to execute internal and external innovation projects.
Qualifications :
Knowledgeable in FMCW radar signal processing techniques
Knowledgeable in DSP, advanced linear algebra, detection and estimation theories, array processing, and modern sparse estimation techniques
Fluent in Matlab
Strong programming and debugging skills
Proven innovation project management experience including proposal writing, planning, budgeting, contracting, and execution is a plus.
Strong communications, documentation, and presentation skills
Highly self-motivated and enjoys solving difficult challenges
Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields with 5-8 years of work experience in signal processing algorithm development.
Experience in automotive radar / ADAS or autonomous driving industry will be preferred.
Proven research experience (paper publications, patents) in radar signal processing algorithm development
