As a member of Intel's IT Plan to Report Organization, the Scrum Master is responsible for making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum.
Coaches the Delivery Team and does anything possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and doing things like working with the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
Responsible for ensuring Scrum theory and practices are understood and enacted (even help those outside the Delivery Team understand so value can be maximized).
Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and enforces time boxes. Embrace and role model Agile Principles. Teach, mentor, guide and coach the Delivery Team (and organization) on Agile / Scrum / Kanban / Lean principles and practices.
Coach the Delivery Team in self-organization and cross-functionality. Help remove organizational and team impediments to agility and progress.
Assist Delivery Team and Product Owner with relentless and continuous improvement in processes and product delivery. Embrace and role model servant leadership.
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on growth and problem solving.
Empowers the Delivery Team and facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning or dictating the work. Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating (making visible) information. Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum and / or agility in the organization.
Support and educate the Product Owner and Delivery Team, especially with respect to refining (grooming) and managing the backlog.
Serve and enable the Product Owner and Delivery Team in their quest to delight customers. Help the Delivery Team learn and mature, so they can reduce their dependence on the Scrum Master.
Knowledge of numerous patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum Framework.
2+ years of experience with a track record as a Scrum Master and / or with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Strong understanding / experience of CI, DevOps practices, IT / software process improvement methodologies, and background in development or testing.
The selected candidate must also be flexible, a self-starter, and have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Multi-tasking, working with a geographically distributed matrix team, and strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must.
Ability to break down a larger roadmap into smaller executable sprints
Demonstrate ability to resolve issues with structured problem solving, experiment design, data collection, analytical thinking, and overall scrum team and project management and stakeholder communications with a proven track record of creating and implementing integrated, multi-discipline solutions
Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, effective listening and influencing skills that result in strong working partnerships across organizational boundaries.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
Scrum Master Certification preferred
