We are currently looking for outstanding people to help us realize our vision as a Network / Security Engineer at our location in Costa Rica
Ensures adherence to established technology standards. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project.
Performs additional job duties as required. Participate complex projects and issues within functional technical area and cross functional area.
Works independently with IT functional units and business units. Recommends solutions for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements.
Position responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Provide operational support of existing and new network and security infrastructure.
Security policy administration of firewalls
Support and administration of network devices and network security systems
Escalation point for global operations team via on-call rotation
Adhere to change advisory board policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support for L2 and L3 team members.
Produce and maintain documentation (procedures, knowledge articles, diagrams).
Support and administration of network and security infrastructure management systems and tools
Review security software releases and patches for implementation in accordance with software patching policy
Participate on-call rotation and major incident management calls.
Analyzing existing network security solutions and recommending solutions, including the design, and configuration of Cisco ASA firewalls, Check Point firewalls, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution, and access), Cisco routers, Citrix Netscaler, Wireless, DNS, VPNs and other network and security solutions.
Participate in joint technology design sessions, providing technical analysis on implementation sequencing.
Perform assigned engagement activities as directed. Install, configure and test hardware and applications based on design specification.
Consider platform interoperability, equipment / OS upgrades and updates to meet agreed upon hardware standards and methodologies.
Participate in remediation for post incident reviews. Recognize opportunity for resolution and own what is needed to drive resolution, identify and recommend support process improvements.
