    NXPs’ Wireless Connectivity team currently have job opening(s) in the following area(s) :

    Senior Principal RF Systems Engineer

    In this role you will participate in the development of next-generation Wireless Connectivity SoCs. The responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to :

  • Create simulation models for RF / circuit impairments and quantify their impact in terms of PHY performance metrics
  • Develop signal processing algorithms for RF impairment estimation and correction, calibration procedures
  • Translate connectivity protocol feature requirements and performance targets into design specifications for RF / circuit designers
  • Develop cross-layer algorithms to enhance multi-radio PHY coexistence
  • Validate and characterize PHY algorithms on silicon, utilizing diagnostic interfaces and laboratory test equipment
  • Qualifications :

  • Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 8 years of industry experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of industry experience
  • Must understand the fundamentals of signal processing and digital communications
  • Must be familiar with the RF performance metrics for a wireless communications system
  • Must be familiar with RF design principles for a wireless transceiver
  • Must be familiar with digital modulation technologies : spread spectrum, OFDM
  • Must be fluent in C / C++, MATLAB
  • Desirable to have knowledge of MIMO technology and wireless connectivity protocols such as .11, .15.4, Bluetooth
  • Desirable to have hands-on experience with bring-up and characterization of SoCs
