We are seeking someone who loves working on and automating complex problems and getting things done. Your work will shape the first generation of VMware’s Sustainability services and green software.

As a member of our team, you will play a key role in understanding customer use cases and defining the end to-end solution.

You will build SaaS micro- services on the VMC platform, VMware’s flagship hybrid cloud solution. You will design and implement scalable services, collaborate with multi-functional teams, and drive the extension of these services to other adjacent SaaS offerings (VMC-on-AWS, VMC-on-Dell, vRealize Operations - SaaS virtualization management platform, etc.).

Success in the Role : What are the goals over the first 6 months you will work toward completing?

  • Become familiar with VMware’s ESG goals, strategic priorities, and technology roadmap.
  • Learn about sustainability projects including architecture, core components and deliverables by each sub-team.
  • Planning and monitoring program execution
  • Project coordination and managing project interdependencies
  • Creating and managing a budget
  • Cross-project resource management
  • Identifying and addressing problems and risks
  • Program documentation
  • Stakeholder communications, negotiations, and problem-solving
  • Aligning or realigning deliverables with program outcomes
  • Responsibilities

  • Oversee the fulfillment of the organizational goals on sustainability solutions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the company to coordinate activities between multiple projects without directly managing them.
  • Pay attention to program strategy, project delegation and program implementation.
  • Measure and monitor program health through reporting, metrics, KPI’s, program reviews and direct customer experience feedback.
  • Develop and deliver communication of requirements gathering results, implementation roadmaps, status reports, and other related communications to internal stakeholders.
  • Keep schedule and budget, for the overall program success.
  • Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B customer experience / voice of the customer programs
  • 3+ years of experience in program management
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and functions
  • Comfortable with working across a distributed, global team
  • Program management tools, like Confluence, JIRA, Workboard
  • Knowledge in VMware products, services and strategy
