About the role :

Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Developer to design & implement software solutions as part of our Device Build Product Team supporting Manufacturing Operations Business partners

This individual will be part of the Global Information Technology department working with our internal IT partners, technical architects, platform teams and external Boston Scientific business partners to develop & improve the management, architecture & performance of our applications.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Work alongside Senior Software Developers & Architects to design, develop & implement new capabilities in BSC’s Manufacturing Operations environment in particular re-engineering the current test results management application into a cloud native app
  • Design, develop & implement interfaces & integrations to enterprise applications using AWS EKS, Docker containers, XML, JSON, & HTML APIs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through software development best practices in the area of cloud technologies, development & testing tools & processes & APIs
  • Provide requirements analysis, level of effort estimation & project planning
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional & technical teams to design, develop & implement cloud technologies in support of BSC’s cloud migration strategy
  • Communicate highly technical solutions to business partners at their level of technical understanding
  • Enhance, maintain & support the development & documentation of enterprise solutions through the SDLC according to IT processes & guidelines
  • Mentor junior software developers
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience and / or 5+ years’ Software Development experience in a variety of programming languages
  • 2+ years’ experience designing & developing software solutions & applications
  • 2+ years’ experience being part of an agile software development team
  • Knowledge of AWS features & cloud technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Docker containers, MongoDB & S3 technologies
  • Experience developing with messaging / integration technologies using XML, JSON, REST, SOAP & C#
  • Experience in IIS, Apache, RDBMS, JAVA, C, Visual Basic, .NET (C#, VB.NET), SSH, ASP, JavaScript, HTML useful
  • Understanding of distributed data models coupled with experience designing, developing & debugging distributed systems with high data loads & high availability requirements beneficial
  • Strong analytical problem solving & trouble shooting skills
  • Able to work on a software design & development team both in-person & in a collaborative virtual setting
  • Able to work adaptively in a self-directed & motivated manner
  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment with quality systems including strong documentation skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Passion for learning, growing your skills, taking on interesting work & challenging problems
