This Corporate Finance analyst position within G&A provides a unique opportunity to grow your career by deepening your financial skills in a dynamic and global company.

You will own the development of the company’s Annual operating plan for several groups, deliver Close activities and enable high-quality managerial reporting to help company’s managers run the business.

Success in the Role : What are the performance outcomes you will work toward completing during your work?

  • Become the FP&A partner that advices senior stakeholders and assist in the development of Annual operating plan aligned with strategic priorities
  • Leverage his / her analytical skills to provide key insights from data, assist on financial modeling and development of presentation materials that inform senior stakeholders
  • Uses innovation and creativity to define and deliver process improvements
  • What are the requirements?

    Student currently enrolled in college

    Advanced English

    Be able to commit, full time to the 12-week program, beginning in May 2022.

    What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

    Your regular activities may be modified to suit your professional strengths and new business requirements, but you can expect a variety of the following assignments :

  • Manage FP&A activities for Vice-presidents for several groups, including annual operating plan process, Close, forecast, financial managerial reporting.
  • Be a trusted Finance advisor that builds strong partnerships with Finance leaders, advise on operating investment opportunities, trade-offs, resource prioritization, risks, all with a mind-set to optimize the company’s ROI
  • Leads the annual planning process for his / her groups, covering operating expenses and headcount. Work with multiple business partners, develop an understanding of their business and translate that into operational and financial information for decision making.
  • Identify and lead the implementation of business process improvements

    You will be joining the Corporate Finance organization, specifically Worldwide Business Operations which has presence in United States, Costa Rica, and India.

    The team vision is focused on being trusted, collaborative business partners and strategic decision makers, helping VMware becoming the leading, modern, multi-cloud SaaS company though value creation and operational excellence.

    This role reports to the Costa Rica based manager for the FP&A team.

    Where is this role located?

    The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and from home depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.

    You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the Costa Rica office in Heredia.
