The successful candidate will be a key member of the PXTSE team, which is responsible for global new site launches working with multiple stakeholders to ensure all time solutions, pay impacting systems and processes, and general HR lifecycle activities are completed pre-launch with each new Amazon site to support a frustration-free and defect-free Day 1 experience for employees.

As Senior Program Manager, you will own the portfolio management and program coordination programs; you will tactically drive and facilitate team-wide portfolio management processes to ensure strategic alignment and value of all team initiatives, and resolve competing priorities and resources.

You will also manage a team of program coordinators, you will be responsible for the establishment and management of global coordination mechanisms to drive program standardization and promote self-service, leading your team to deliver results, streamline and eliminate excess processes to improve the speed and accuracy of program delivery.

You will contribute to the development of continuous improvement work by identifying service parity gaps, recommending improvements and assisting in implementation.

Program Management : Own design and delivery of large-scale activity related initiatives; performing hands on project management such as development of project plans, scheduling and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverables, benefits and milestones, resource and program tracking, development and management of risk, issue and action logs.

Plan, design, build, test, implement, and integrate new work into team standard site launch operations.

People management : Lead and develop a team of program coordinators; responsible for the overall direction, performance management, coordination, and evaluation of the team to ensure high service delivery and execution.

Responsible for coaching, engaging, and communicating in a way that drives results, manages performance, develops talent, and inspires innovation.

Mechanisms and Best Practices : Develop, improve, and maintain activity management related processes, audit mechanisms, standards, templates and best practices in partnership with other program managers across the globe.

Process improvements : Identifies customer-impacting issues and implements solutions and process improvements to increase customer satisfaction.

Participates in cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Propose new ideas, concepts, and features, providing supporting data and projected results.

Communication and change management : Own key communications to leaders, project members and stakeholders on overall work progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis.

Create and continuously improve PXTSE change management mechanisms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5-8+ years of relevant program / project management experience, preferably in HR
  • 3-5+ years of people management experience
  • Proficient PC skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and facilitate action across remote groups
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences and convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively with a wide variety of audiences - technical and business clients, HR functions, and all levels of employees
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure on a number of projects at the same time.
