The challenge

Adobe is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management for Adobe’s online commerce. In this role you will develop a high-performing team of product managers and designers responsible for product strategy, roadmap planning and execution for Adobe’s online commerce presence worldwide.

You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, business partners, marketers and sales professionals to help develop the roadmap and grow Adobe’s online revenue.

You will hire and develop extraordinary product managers, designers and data professionals and help foster a collaborative, team-first organization.

You will be in a highly strategic and visible role with a direct interface to senior-most executives in the company. You will make strategic contributions to Adobe’s growth plans through delivery of strategic commerce platform capabilities.

You will manage a diverse and fast-growing portfolio of product capabilities in partnership with the engineering organization.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a team of high performing product management and design leaders responsible for all aspects of Adobe’s online commerce presence.
  • Collaborate with the engineers and architects to help develop a commerce platform suitable for the growing needs of Adobe’s diverse business across multiple channels.
  • Maniacally focus on instrumentation and analytics to help optimize the platform capabilities across multiple channels and markets.
  • Define the big picture strategy, evangelize the vision with executives across Adobe and be the strategic voice of all thing commerce.
  • Be a well-recognized inspiring leader who leads from the front and gets things done.

  • Collaborate closely with peers across the company in marketing, sales, finance, legal and other business functions to coordinate and deliver the desired results.
  • Keep ahead of the latest industry trends and standard methodologies and bring those to fruition to benefit Adobe. Keep a pulse on emerging trends and skate where the puck is headed to be ahead of the need.
  • Be aware of the global market realities and differentiated approaches that work in specific markets. Drive the market-unique strategies to drive globally optimal results.
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions on a routine basis, and work with industry leading technology partners to bring state of the art capabilities to Adobe’s commerce platform.
  • Be very pragmatic to balance the short-term goals against long term bets.

  • Be the industry-visible spokesperson of Adobe’s commerce capabilities.
  • Forecast business impact of all the initiatives and be able to make the right priorities and trade-offs to drive optimal results.
  • Drive the business by the numbers set key performance indicators, evangelize the metrics, measure and communicate the key platform metrics.
  • Drive the team towards balanced and optimal outcomes.

  • Translate big picture goals into specific priorities, plans and objectives. Work closely with the engineering teams to deliver multiple complex programs in parallel.
  • Be equally comfortable in B2B as well as B2C commerce from individual selling motions to the needs of business customers.
  • What you need to succeed

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in product management, including industry-leading experience in leading and building commerce platforms.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience building and leading high-performance product management and design teams with seasoned leadership.
  • Experience building internet-scale global commerce platforms suitable for growing, diverse and global commerce presence for Adobe.
  • Keen eye for optimal designs and experiences fanatical devotion to reducing friction in customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional teams to execute complex product strategy and delivering to an aggressive set of objectives.
  • Be an aggressive driver who can make things happen against all odds persevere and deliver.
  • Self-manage, motivate and prioritize to be successful even in the face of ambiguity. You will need to be very results-oriented, with bias towards action.
  • Create a learning organization that’s keen to experiment, measure, react and keep moving forward; an organization that takes action, is data driven, and willing to fail fast and learn from mistakes.
  • The successful candidate will be a highly effective, confident and motivational communicator who is at ease in any audience.
  • Experience managing complex global partnerships with technology providers.
  • Be genuine. Comfortable in your beliefs. Confident, but not cocky.
