The Cybersecurity Engineer is a member of Emerson’s Powerand Water Solution (PWS)

Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCE). This positionfocuses in the area of cybersecurity and

will act as an integral part of a highly technical teamfocused on developing and delivering

cybersecurity services and solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

This role will be expected to become one of Emerson’ssubject matter experts in PWS security

products, solutions and compliance. The majorresponsibilities of the Cybersecurity Engineer

include providing technical support of Emerson PWScybersecurity solutions to customers and

internal Emerson PWS engineers; as well as, effectivelydiagnosing and resolving Ovation

product related issues, as necessary. Therefore, in additionto good interpersonal skills, the

engineer should possess excellent technical troubleshootingskills and be familiar with PWS

cybersecurity solutions, process control and basic powergeneration concepts.

Foster a positive environment for work and professionalgrowth.

Work as a team player within the CCE to address customerquestions and technical issues.

Maintain or improve customer satisfaction through group andindividual effort.

Perform base customer support activities as needed,including phone support, field service

and remote diagnostics, as well as :

Start-up and DCS commissioning at customer locations

Consulting and assisting customers in development ofcybersecurity plans and / or programs

Providing NERC CIP compliance support services

Performing vulnerability assessments on customer's controlsystems

Developing assessment reports and suggestingmitigation / remediation strategies

Implementing recommended mitigation / remediation strategies

Developing Emerson’s cybersecurity best practices and whitepapersrelated to security

solutions

Installation, configuration and tuning of Ovationcybersecurity solutions

Manage and prioritize call records and workload; maintainaccurate documentation of all

support by utilizing the SMS database and other tools.

Coordinate technical support processes and call escalationbetween various support

organizations.

Interface with Emerson Field Support Engineers, regionaloffices and expert resources as

needed to resolve issues.

Continually and proactively increase one’s technicalcapabilities, growing and establishing

higher levels of expertise.

Maintain product equipment, support labs, and group capitalequipment.

Help to enhance the value of the Cybersecurity Center ofExcellence by contributing

towards additional group activities / tasks, developing newinternal / external solutions, and

assisting with training (as appropriate).

Requirements

The position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree inEngineering, Computer Science or

equivalent.

Must have knowledge of cybersecurity appliances,applications, tools and techniques.

Experience with Ovation products and associated systems is a plus

The position requires an advanced level of English B2 (additional languages are

advantageous).

Possess advanced troubleshooting skills (i.e. diagnosing andresolving computer related

issues).

The position requires good interpersonal skills andexcellent oral and written

communication skills in a formal environment.

The ability to work effectively with internal and externalcustomers is essential.

The position requires up to 70% travel.

The position requires availability to work different shifts,as required, including holidays,

nights and weekends.
