This position is responsible for the design, development, testing automation, and maintenance of Control Plane componeents of Container-based software modules and APIs for F5 Identity and Access Management products and services .
Perform as an individual contributor, technical lead, and collaborate with peers under the direction of architects.
Design and develop major control plane components of container-based modules for F5’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) product.
Develop industry leading configuration management, APIs, logging, and analytics capabilities.
Research, investigate and define new areas of technology to set new product directions
Evaluate performance of products; tune, re-evaluate the design and implementation of current source code
Mentor junior software engineers
Document software designs via functional specifications and other design documents
Collaborate with team members and technical leads
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Solid knowledge and experience with design and development of control plane, schema, APIs, containers, logging frameworks .
3+ years programming experience in C++ / Golang, node.js, REST, containers, kubernetes
Expereince in NATS, gRPC, Protobuf, PKI, SAML, OAuth v2.0, OIDC, Git, CI / CD, Agile process is a plus
Excellent analytic / trouble-shooting and debugging skills
Successfully manage ambiguity in work.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment
Demonstrates emerging leadership qualities. Serves as de facto lead in group interactions.
Can design and implement new functionality in multiple feature areas, while developing subject matter expertise in at least one.
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree;
or equivalent work experience.
