Assists Operations Manager in managing and overseeing the operations and personnel of one or more production lines to maximize productivity and operating efficiencies.
Manages and oversees the coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and tooling to assemble product effectively and deliver it to inventory.
Maintains a high level of product quality and traceability during product assembly.
Ensures production is performed in full compliance with the Quality System and all procedural requirements.
Promotes safe work environment and behaviors.
Core Job Responsibilities
Implements and manages to a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, rewarding positive behavior, and applying disciplinary action as appropriate.
Trains and certifies to all critical assembly operations and understands all line PFM's.
Monitors daily work metrics and provides direction and guidance to lower-level supervisors, or skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.
Retains responsibility for product from initial assembly to final distribution. Schedules and organizes assigned manufacturing lines to achieve 100% product availability and maintain targeted levels of inventories.
Communicates to line personnel daily while maintaining a constant line presence.
Maintains a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to applicable procedures.
Responsible for achieving dept. attendance targets including immediate feedback to employees by instance.
Coordinates activities related to shift starts and changes.
Communicates with other departments and functions as needed in support of meeting operational objectives.
Helps develop, interpret, and execute policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
Oversees personnel and processes to ensure production meets all associated quality standards.
Oversees personnel and processes to ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations.
Aware of and occasionally identifies internal and / or external indicators that impact the business and / or industry
Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.
University Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
2-5 years of related work experience
Experience in Regulatory Compliance, GMP’s, CAPA system, FDA and BSI
Bilingual English / Spanish.
