About the Opportunity

This role puts you at the helm of designing and creating irresistible travel products that drive the growth and profitability of your destination.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager, the position requires a person with a diverse skill-set that ranges from developing innovative travel products and negotiating supplier contracts to conducting destination training and leading agent familiarization trips.

You will be responsible for :

  • Proactively develop product for key partners in line with destination trends.
  • Manage product to market process from product creation, pricing, distribution, training and support.
  • Create and enforce One Best Way processes to improve speed of product to market.
  • Drive best practice contract negotiations for the overall business to maximize total contract margin.
  • Develop and execute business plan to ensure override targets are achieved.
  • Establish strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Create an efficient product distribution platform that is easily accessible by the selling teams.
  • Monitor customer feedback to ensure products are delivering to expectations.
  • Working with Country Managers and / or suppliers to improve where customer satisfaction levels are unacceptable.
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience in product development and management
  • A bachelor’s degree in tourism or business an advantage
  • Comprehensive travel industry knowledge and extensive travel experience in Latin america
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Solid collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High attention to detail & strong time / priority management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills across different cultures
  • A customer-centric focus with commitment to high standards of service delivery
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Flexible rotating roster that may include late nights, weekends and early mornings
  • Comfortable with uncertainties and changing priorities under pressure.
  • Willing to travel on business when required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
