What Security Advisor contributes to Cardinal Health
Security is responsible for providing measures to safeguard Cardinal Health's assets from circumstances that would cause loss or harm.
Demonstrates knowledge of security concepts, policies, and procedures.
Recognizes and anticipates security incidents and issues and escalates or responds appropriately.
Identifies physical risk and assists with risk mitigation.
Conducts site security audits and investigations.
Applies industry, government and company specific security standards to solve problems and provides guidance.
Completes and / or reviews incident reports.
On call 24 / 7
Collaborates with leadership to build strong security culture
Manages highly sensitive and confidential information
Executive protection : coordinate and provided executive protection to senior executives.
Travel security : support consistent flow of US employees visiting operation
Manages IP-based security technology systems (video, access control, intrusion)
Accountabilities in this role
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4+ years’ experience in related field
Advance proficiency in English and Spanish
Supply Chain security expertise with C-TPAT (US Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism) and Costa Rica's AOE (Authorized Economic Operator) program requirements and certification.
Travel Security expertise
Strong Investigative and interview skills
Incident response expertise : labor unrest, EH&S support, civil unrest impacting travel, supply chain or due to Anti-US sentiment, etc.
Strong contract guard force management experience
Strong investigative skills including interviewing ability
Ability to navigate complex and challenging judicial / law enforcement systems to protect people, assets and brand
Ability to develop strong law enforcement and private sector contacts and relationships
Lead security training program
Collaborate with leadership to build strong security culture
Excellent verbal and written communication across multiple levels within the organization
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification preferred
