The Tax Manager, LATAM, will report to the LATAM Tax Director, based in Costa Rica, and will work closely with the regional CFO organization.

The position is responsible for activities within LATAM region, for tax operations process, including supporting and monitoring correct tax compliance and tax reporting activities.

The position has no direct reports; but will closely interact with the rest of the Tax Team, as well with the finance team in Costa Rica and the finance team of each of the legal entities in LATAM.

You will operate in a dynamic and international business context where you will be required to interact with different stakeholders and external service providers.

As part of your responsibilities, you will manage the compliance, transfer pricing, tax reporting and tax risks related to the cross-border transactions within your scope.

Required Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, finance, business or related field

Master’s degree in economics or law, or specialization or post-graduation in Tax is highly desirable

Minimum 4-5 years of Strong international tax experience (corporate and transfer pricing); indirect tax experience would be an advantage

Ideally experience gained as in-house tax manager, combined with previous Big4 or tax law firm experience

Prior experience focused on the LATAM region

Good business and numerical sense

Proficient in English

MS Office knowledge is mandatory; SAP knowledge is desirable

Key responsibilities :

Oversee direct tax calculation, tax payment and compliance processes are timely carried out internally or by the outsourced service provider

Assure internal tax reporting (IFRS, including deferred tax calculation) is timely and professionally carried out by the local team or share service center

Monitor and propose improvement opportunities in the process of indirect tax management and compliance

Support the timely preparation of the local transfer pricing files (externally prepared) as all related transfer pricing documentation

Monitor the adherence to the company tax policies;

Provide tax assistance and advice to the local tax and accounting directors / managers from a direct and indirect tax perspective and / or liaise with local tax advisors

Drive process improvements and look for automation processes; develop, implement and document standard procedures for tax compliances and reporting processes

Monitor external legislative and regulatory changes, communicate such changes to key stakeholders and provide training to the finance community in LATAM in this respect

Provide training to the local finance community
