We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Corporate Accounting team. The Corporate Accounting team owns all P&L and Balance Sheet accounting (other than that related to revenue, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue).

In addition to the management of the monthly close process, the Corporate Accounting team covers a variety of challenging topics including capitalized software, leases, share-based compensation, investment accounting, commissions, and self insurance.

The team has high visibility within the accounting organization and within the company.

As a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, you will perform a variety of tasks including cash accounting, expense accruals, intercompany accounting, accounting for prepaid expenses, tax accruals, and expense allocations and the preparation of necessary balance sheet reconciliations for accounts associated with these areas.

Additionally, you will take part in performance of other Corporate Accounting tasks, depending on your interests and team needs.

You will report to our Accounting Manager located in our Costa Rica office.

You Will :

  • Prepare journal entries associated with assigned areas
  • Prepare daily bank cash activity journal entries
  • Prepare entries related to prepaid expenses and related amortization
  • Prepare journal entries to allocate certain company-wide expenses based on headcount
  • Prepare journal entries to allocate certain company specific expenses based on applicable method
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyze month-over-month variances in P&L accounts
  • Prepare monthly fluctuation analysis on operating expense accounts
  • Be a critical member in helping identify and implement process improvements in our monthly close process
  • Assist with other projects, as needed
  • You Have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Detail-oriented to provide high-level of accuracy
  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Excel
  • Knowledge of and experience with an ERP system
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop / recommend solutions, and resolve issues
