JOB SUMMARY :
Training and Human Resources Specialist is in charged to manage all the Costa Rica training system used by CooperVision including technical development and learning needs.
In addition, this position is also primarily responsible to provide support to the Human Resources Department and its areas as requested.
Monitor & measure people / training KPI's.
Policy development procedure.
Consulting with lawyers, if required
Track attendance and coach absenteeism cases.
Vacations Administration for Exempts.
Assist in employee conflicts & claims management.
Assure that any Communication is aligned to the Values and Culture of the Organization.
Assure compliance with laws & regulations.
Assure Adherence to Values.
Promote a good work environment.
Educate team in good work environment practices
Training audit compliance requirements.
Audit / Compliance
Assure employee certification and re-certification, when applicable.
Position curriculum administration
Employee training record Management
Training reports and goals definition
Training modules creation, administration and delivery
Develop tactics and plans to improve people KPI's
Deliver Awareness to entire personnel, if needed.
Projects and improvements related to training area.
Any other task assigned by the Human Resorces Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Three to five years minimum experience in Human Resources and Training, preferably in a manufacturing environment with knowledge and experience in the following : Employee Relations, Training and Development, Labor Laws and HR Information Systems.
Experience in problem solving and decision making.
Proven leadership and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Excellent oral / written communication skills in both English and Spanish are a must.
Teamwork and service oriented.
Willing to travel for short periods of time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Needs to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; sit and reach with arms; lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; requires close vision.
Utilizes reading, writing, speaking skills, analytical capacity and judgement to solve problems.
Applies communications skills to perform work and speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
Incumbent could be exposed to fumes of chemicals
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Adminstration, Industrial Engineer or related field is required.
