As a member of the Data Science Solutions Application Support team, you will be responsible for the implementation and operational support of Experian DSS Customer Solutions in our managed hosting environment and in customer hosted solutions.
Employees in this role primarily support and maintain the application servers our customers use within their solutions. This is a hands-on position that will require directly interacting with customers and other internal teams performing system analysis, build deployment and automation, solution design, system configuration maintenance activities.
The primary responsibility is incident resolution. Support team members will participate in an on call rotation.
The successful candidate possesses a good working knowledge of computing platforms, good analytical skills, and a solid understanding of enterprise environments including VMware virtualization and be able to troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, configuration and operational problems across the VMware, Wintel, x86 64 Linux platforms.
Knowledge of multiple vendor technologies and platforms including VMware, Microsoft Windows, MS SQL Server, Linux variants (SLES11, RHEL6 / 7) and SQL queries and supporting Java as well as scripting languages such as Powershell or batch are required.
Candidates should be team players with excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or equivalent career experience in a related technical field.
Experience in performing datacenter implementations and deployments or related field is required. (2+ years experience required)
Experience in application server support and administration (2+ years experience required)
Experience supporting web services. General knowledge of XML, SOAP, and .NET
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal English language skills are required.
Ability to demonstrate strong troubleshooting / diagnostic skills, think analytically while working in a fast paced IT environment is required.
Experience supporting and working on managed hosting environments is a strong plus.
Proven ability to provide high customer satisfaction in situations with direct customer interaction.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate highly technical information to business oriented audiences.

Hands-on technical experience desired in the following areas :
Experience using Dynatrace and Splunk to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues
Advanced experience with Microsoft Operating Systems : Windows Server 2003 / 2008+ / 2012+, Windows 7 / 8 / 10
Experience with using SQL Server including performing complex queries is a plus
Some scripting / automation and knowledge of Windows scripting (CMD, Powershell)
Experience with SQL scripting and database management to include designing and implementing maintenance schedules and profiling for performance enhancements
Experience with Active Directory, ADFS
Experience with performance tuning in a distributed environment is a plus
Scripting / automation knowledge of knowledge of Linux shell scripting (sh / bash, perl)
Understanding of ITIL concepts and experience using ServiceNow
