What the role is
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring an optimal promotion, distribution and revenue generation of all products available at the specific Selina location.
This position reports to the Regional Commercial Director with a dotted line to the Country Operations Directors at location level and will be implementing Global and Country Level Marketing & Sales strategies and following corporate procedures.
Knows very well the market and will be developing partnerships and brand promotions.
What you will be doing
Create, manage and execute the location’s sales actions plan and forecast
Achieve revenue goals for all products (accommodation, F&B, Explore, Cowork, Wellness)
Manage, retain and grow established customers (individual) and groups (group business)
Responsible for all sales processes at location level and synergies with other countries or global locations.
Dealing with customer enquiries and aiming to meet their expectations.
Oversee the customer experience for fam trips, and educational visits for customers
Cross-selling of products (i.e. Explore products to other businesses locally)
Upselling and cross-selling in location level to optimize revenue per customer
Open new sales channels and manage existing ones
Group sales conversion, turnover and operational support
Create local level packages based on special events and local experiences offered (lead the collaboration with country and global level sales teams)
Responsible for ensuring all the location team is appropriately using Rezdy and Winks PMS (must check systems minimum 5 times a day)
Close local level deals for groups and packages (corporate offsites, student groups, etc.) with the help of country and global teams when needed
Sourcing new tour products and destinations to meet consumer demands.
Prospect new clients e.g. Tour Operators, Corporate, DMCs, Travel Agencies, M&E Agencies and Creative Marketing Agencies
Ensure all staff are properly trained on Selina products, and how to sell and cross-sell them.
Responsible for establishing and monitoring incentive campaigns the front-line team
Provide sales performance reports the country and regional leadership on tracking progress against targets, successes and challenges
Create, manage and execute the location’s marketing plan in accordance with brand guidelines and in partnership with Country and Global Marketing
Promote the Selina brand, experience and services to drive sales and revenue in all products (beds, co-work, tours, wellness, education, retail).
Manage sales and marketing budget
Manage the sale & marketing process for all activities in your location
Work with Selina teams to establish local partnerships to drive location revenue including events and sponsorship
Provide sales guidance and assistance across location so everyone is supporting the revenue generation efforts (reception, F&B employees etc.)
Coordinate with product teams to ensure the right mix for location e.g. do we have the right amount of Retail space and products
Use CRM to log activity, opportunities and closed / won deals Marketing
Manage local public relations and influencers
Coordinate the location’s social media management and promotional materials
Visit new local destinations in order to gain information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers.
Support in the creation of marketing initiatives for all products in the location with the support of the Country Sales & Marketing coordinator and external vendors.
Analyze data and provide reports with conclusions
Create and maintain a unique experience across all offerings.
Responsible for ensuring Explore promotional sales content is spread adequately around the location areas (Reception, Selina Home, Selina Playground, Selina CoWok property hallways, mood boards, elevators, rooms, partner transportation vehicles, etc.)
What you need for the role
Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration
Local hospitality Market knowledge
Hotel revenue management knowledge
Forecasting and budgeting
English proficiency and local language
Minimum 3 years in sales management
Public Relations management
Previous experience in sales in hospitality is a plus
Time Management, Creativity and Cultural Sensitivity Skills
Revenue and Profit Oriented
Previous experience with community engagement
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to work independently and creatively to close new sales opportunities
Able to work and collaborate in a matrix environment
