Position : Middle School Homeroom & Social Studies Teacher
Location : Holy Family School, San Jose
Holy Family School is looking for a dedicated and passionate educator to teach from approximately mid-November 2020 to the beginning of March 2021.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Plan, implement, monitor, and assess a comprehensive middle school academic program that is consistent with Diocesan and local site goals.
Develop and communicate curricular and instructional plans and objectives to students and parents to allow parental monitoring and engagement, review with the school administration as necessary.
Be proficient in integrating technology into the curriculum on a regular basis to enhance student learning
Be proficient in utilizing technology apps used in Distance Learning. These include, but are not limited to, Google Classroom, Zoom, Loom, Screencastify, and Flipgrid.
Communicate regularly with parents via Parent Square.
Use relevant data to drive instructional effectiveness.
Attend weekly Middle School meetings and Faculty meetings
Apply knowledge of the California curriculum and content standards, as well as have demonstrable knowledge of California Common Core Standards and experience with pacing guides
Maintain a positive and professional image consistent with the mission and values of Holy Family School and the Diocese of San Jose
A Bachelor’s degree is required
A valid CA teaching credential is required
Substantive experience in working with middle school students, especially knowledge of adolescent growth and development
