Job Description

The Elevator Pitch : Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?

You will be on the VMware Skyline team, which is part of VMware’s Cloud Management Business Unit (CMBU) in the Modern Apps and Management Business Group.

Skyline is one of VMware’s largest SaaS services designed to help customers become more proactive and helping them stay out of harm’s way.

As part of this team, you will be helping transform the customer experience from reactive to proactive, enabling customers to focus on business priorities vs.

fighting fires. This role reports directly to Michelle’s new title on the Skyline product marketing team.

In this role, you will :

Implement and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives. Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.

Manage VMware Skyline web presence, promotional giveaways, events, and email campaigns. Monitor, measure and assess program results and report out on a regular cadence.

Success in the Role : What are the performance outcomes over the first 6- months you will work toward completing?

  • Ensure web and portal content is current and consistent
  • Plan, maintain and execute promotional emails and campaigns
  • Develop and maintain integrated team event calendar
  • Manage and implement customer webinar program
  • Document, measure, track and communicate effectiveness of promotional activities and campaigns
  • The Work : What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing regularly?

  • Update and manage external and internal websites and portals.
  • Coordinate email campaigns and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate promotional programs and giveaways.
  • Plan and manage Skyline event presence, including coordinating presence at annual customer conferences.
  • Plan and coordinate customer webinars.
  • Monitor and measure all programs, recommend improvements, and report results on a regular cadence.
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Some experience in product marketing is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS and proactive support is preferred.
  • Solid verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment across geographical regions and organizations.
  • Exceptional time management, facilitation, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to self-learn new technologies and tools.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the work done and go the extra mile.
  • Strong personal work ethic and problem-solver.
  • Flexible personality and quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.
  • B.A. / B.S. / Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or relevant fields.
