Job Summary

The role requires an individual with strong FedRAMP, FIPS, Compliance and security background. Individual can analyze various controls, convert them to requirements, and build product requirement descriptions for engineering to develop features.

As a Principal PM individual will lead and work independently will aspects of FedRAMP, FIPS and compliance requirements. Your role will be essential for the company's successful to become FedRAMP certified.

This is highly visible across the company to CEO level.

This role requires a solid understanding of process, documentation, and technology, well developed analytic and modeling skills, and an ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to peers and executives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze FedRAMP Security, controls, and compliance requirements
  • Convert controls to requirements
  • Develop product strategy by converting controls to requirements
  • Evangelize how F5 Volterra complies with vertical specific security, data encryption, and data access requirements
  • Work with platform team to build out public sector compliant environment
  • Analyze new adjacencies (local / state government) to launch services
  • Develop roadmap for compliance projects
  • Work closely with regulatory, privacy, security, engineering, operations, sales, marketing to develop strategy for government & similar verticals in US and outside of US
  • Collaborate with engineering team to deliver features
  • Track and measure the success of each product / feature launched.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience leading FedRAMP compliance activities, including DoD Impact Levels.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, NIST, PCI etc.
  • Deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations (e.g., CCPA and GDPR).
  • Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex, cross functional technical initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
  • Knowledge of software product development and release cycles.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
  • SaaS and data management industry experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically, providing timely progress / result reports to the right audiences.
  • Outstanding listener, great presenter, terrific interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to influence other teams to get things done, with diplomacy and without formal authority.
  • Strong internal drive, a bias for action and ability to build internal champions across the organization.
  • Strong teaming skills : positive teammate, good team builder, experience to bring together diverse views.
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 5-10% of the time spent traveling.
  • Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree or equivalent. MBA a plus
  • 8+ years of demonstrated ability in product management or equivalent
  • 5+ years analyzing products, customers, and market dynamics a plus
