We are looking for an IT support technician to troubleshoot and create solutions that leverage technology to meet the end user's business needs in a frontline role.
This service is on-site and may include the following activities :
1- Assembly of equipment (Rollout).
2- Relocation of equipment between floors and buildings.
3- Installation of equipment on stations.
4- Replacement of monitor and / or telephones in place at final customer locations.
5- Basic Technical Support on EUC site.
Job Level Specific Duties :
1- Diagnoses and troubleshoots Level 1 problem encountered with personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
2- Answers the help desk line and responds to users requests regarding computer systems
3- Acknowledges receipts of all users requests within defined service levels
4- Initiates service orders (tickets) for all users’ requests assisting as necessary to provide appropriate information.
5- Maintains user information and documentation
6- Participates in ensuring that customer requests via the ticketing system are managed to closure.
7- Delivers results in support or achieving the organizations Service Level Agreements.
Minimum Education and Certifications :
1- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
1- Ability to develop business relationship and communicate effectively with the user community
2- Basic troubleshooting skills
3- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of network, server, and desktop administration, installation, upgrades, techniques, tools, and equipment.
4- Applies basic understanding of customer service techniques as required to address problems with PC based tools and products.
Physical requirements / Working conditions
5- Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
Other requirements :
1- The candidate must have schedule availability and the willingness to be on call duty after the training is completed.
2- Ability to move around between different offices in the San Jose area.
3- Intermediate / Advanced written and spoken English proficiency is a must.
