The Senior Security Engineer position requires the ability to actively contribute to the implementation, operations and support of enterprise security solutions in a global multi data center environment.
About the Role : The Security Engineer III is a technical role reporting to the Manager of IT Security Engineering. You will be responsible for creating and governing standards for the Engineering organization and partnering with the Fiserv Product Development organizations to deliver secure solutions to our customers.

The ETG ESM Security Engineering group is responsible for security product architecture, design and support for commercial Fiserv products.
ESM also plays a key role in the delivery of security technologies for ETG ESM portfolio initiatives.

Primary responsibilities include supporting the operational security function within ETG to develop, maintain and advance the security posture of the company in order to adequately protect Fiserv assets.
Responsibilities include managing and enhancing the effectiveness of current security tools and applications including firewall infrastructure, web content filtering technologies, VPN / network gateway infrastructure, security SSL certificates, application and database firewalls, proxy / content gateway servers and supporting PCI and other internal or external audit processes for the enterprise.
Supporting the implementation of corporate security policies, programs, and procedures to protect information systems’ assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.
The ideal candidate will have experience and direct knowledge of managing security infrastructure in large complex global multi-
data center environments.
Deploy and maintain tooling that supports the technical security strategy roadmap : Administer, deploy, and support security tooling including : Web services Proxy solutions, Web application firewalls, and XML security gatewaysWork with business units to ensure their solutions are secure, and meet PCI and Fiserv security standards.
Effectively build consensus within the stakeholder community for requirements / standards / functionality
Contribute to enterprise technology security standards : Communicate and govern technology capability standardsEffectively build consensus within the stakeholder community for requirements / standards / functionalityEffectively communicate and enforce standards with the broad stakeholder community
Additional responsibilities : Effectively and efficiently communicate with various levels of stakeholders ranging from staff engineers to business developers executivesEffectively deploy security solutions in terms that meet business unit requirementsBuild consensus across a wide range of stakeholders ranging from staff engineers to senior business executivesWork with internal and external compliance analysts to meet requirements or determine remediation practices
Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering / related field or equivalent work experience

Job Related Experience
5+ years relevant technical experience preferred. Need excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
At least 3-5 years’ experience working in a progressive information security operations or engineering group.
Prior experience with network security & related applications, tools and solutions
Deep understanding of network routing and switching architecture, design and troubleshooting
Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions in large complex data center environments (complex financial environment preferred)
Exceptional planning, organization, communication, presentation, multi-tasking, prioritization and business analysis skills.
Ability to work independently in addition to working closely in a team environment.
Needs strong ability to multi-task and work effectively in a distributed and matrix oriented environment
Significant experience with security technologies including encryption, vulnerability management, DAM, IDAM, WAF, XML gateways, FIM, among others for hosted and cloud deployments
Demonstrated track record of success in helping deploy enterprise business solutions in a compliant manner
Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with encryption, consolidated logging, vulnerability management, and DDOS prevention designs
Experience in software security principals (i.e. OWASP, penetration testing, application testing)
An advanced degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations
Exposure to Intel SOA XML gateways, Reactivity, F5 Application Security Manager, Apigee Edge, ModSecurity (CRS), Imperva SecureSphere, or Citrix Netscaler / NGINX / Barracuda Web Application Firewalls
Technical product training and certifications, network hardware and application security training and / or certifications : CCNA, CCSA, CISSP, Security+, Network+
CISSP certification preferred
