Adobe is seeking a hardworking and upbeat attorney to advise Adobe’s Experience Platform product, engineering and marketing teams.
Adobe Experience Platform is an open and extensible platform that helps Adobe’s enterprise customers stitch data across the enterprise powering real-time customer profiles that can be enhanced through data science and managed through data governance to drive personalized experiences.
This position will offer product legal support to teams through all stages of development and marketing, from concept to launch.
The ideal candidate will bring a high level of enthusiasm, including timely, accurate, and well-reasoned responses to queries from internal clients.
This full-time position will be based in our Lehi, UT, San Jose, CA, or New York, NY office.
What you'll Do
Support product teams as they develop and bring to market new technologies and product offerings by helping to identify and resolve privacy, IP, go-to-market and license compliance issues
Build positive relationships with the Experience Platform teams and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues
Collaborate with subject matter authorities in Adobe's Legal Department, including patent, copyright, privacy security, and licensing attorneys
Draft, supervise, and close, a wide variety of agreements, including inbound and outbound technology licenses, product documentation, and partnership agreements
Lead product launch processes, including technology release checklists and questionnaires
Continue to learn and calibrate in this rapidly changing industry related to issues associated with identity management, targeted marketing and associated privacy implications and serve as an internal subject matter authority in those areas
Anticipate client needs to facilitate the creation and improvement of processes, forms, templates, knowledge resources, and training to drive efficiency.
What you need to succeed
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
A minimum of 8+ years of relevant legal experience (e.g., software licensing, supporting clients in the cloud-based services industry, supporting product development and go to market)
Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Experience negotiating and drafting transactional agreements (preferably software license agreements)
Experience with, and interest in, privacy issues
Technical background or interest in software products and development preferred
Dedication to providing clients with high-quality and timely legal advice
Creative problem solving capabilities, good business instincts and the ability to apply common sense to both practical and theoretical advice
Proven ability to balance and prioritize opposing projects / demands

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.
Colorado Starting Salary : $161,700 - $210,000
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
