Senior Project Management will be responsible for managing application or infrastructure projects with medium to high complexity and risk.

He / She is accountable for the successful implementation of technical solutions through effective planning and predictable execution throughout all phases of our project management methodology

and he / she will be responsible for managing assigned resources, effectively tracking budgets and financial forecasts, creating and tracking detailed project plans,

effectively leading and facilitating project meetings as well as proactively controlling project scope, risks and issues.

This position is expected to provide timely status reports to all stakeholders and escalate issues to the appropriate management level.

The must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Additionally, this position must effectively manage the projects across global locations and time zones and be able to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities :

  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives of the project in collaboration with the accountable Solution Owner and ensures communication and agreement of project goals, schedule baselines, and strategic direction to all identified stakeholders.
  • Responsible to identify all relevant project stakeholders and to establish and implement an appropriate communication plan to manage their requirements and expectations.
  • Primarily responsible to deliver the project on approved (baseline) schedule, on approved (baseline) budget, within quality limits, and with the expected benefits.
  • Design and implement improvements where necessary / appropriate to improve operational efficiencies

  • Actively manages risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) by carefully assessing potential impacts in collaboration with the respective project teams and proposing appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Creates baseline project schedules and tracks the completion of project deliverables, tasks, activities and milestones.
  • Provides accurate, timely and fit for purpose project status reports using established norms and reporting tools of the portfolio.

  • Identify, acquire, and lead multifunctional, global project teams (project team sizes 15-60). Actively manages and addresses the resolution of conflicts within the project team.
  • Ensures and is directly accountable for compliance with project management, portfolio management and CSV policies, guidelines, process tools and reporting standards of the portfolio.
  • Facilitate project management activities across the entire project management methodology (PMM).

    Qualifications :

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Life Sciences, Business; or equivalent experience. Post-graduate work in a related field will be a plus
  • 7 years of experience as a successful Information Technology Project Manager using structured project management processes
  • Deep understanding of various System Development Life Cycles (Waterfall, Agile, iterative, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of technology infrastructures
  • Demonstrated competency planning and tracking project schedules with clearly-defined critical paths

  • Proven ability to obtain results in a global, matrix environment
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget as compared to documented governance baselines
  • Ability to see the interrelationship of a project across "the big picture" and understand its dependency on other projects in the program as required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated success communicating across a variety of audiences, including business partners and informatics technologists (both up and down the organization)
  • Exceptional listening, problem-solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Proven leadership abilities and emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated success handling initiatives of significant complexity and risk
  • PMP, Prince2 (or equivalent) certification required
  • Plus : Experience within the Pharmaceutical and / or BioTech industry, experience deploying GxP validated systems and / or prior experience managing offshore contract resources
