TE Connectivity's Manufacturing / Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow.
They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.
Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
What your kkkkkshould look like :
o Lead continuous improvement projects and document them appropriately in TEBIT (TE Business Improvement Tracker) to meet the periodic savings goals assigned by the company.
o Lead and / or actively participate in strategic and operational plans for the manufacturing area under his charge. o Delegate objectives and tasks to production leaders and operators to maintain responsibility for the results of the area.
o Evaluate the performance of your staff in charge in conjunction with the Human Resources department and provide periodic feedback, as directed by the company.
o Maintain effective communication with the other support departments to achieve the daily goals of the area. o Actively participate with the Methods department and the Core Team to continually improve the process flow of their production area.
o Lead and actively participate in the deployment and maintenance of TEOA (TE Operational Advantage) tools in their respective areas with the help of their work team.
o Responsible for monitoring the timely training of new and current collaborators, as well as their quality and performance.
o Assist their superiors to the immediate Planning / Scheduling department in the programming and distribution of production orders (Jobs / Shop Travelers) to the Floor in a timely and efficient manner.
You must be ready to anticipate when the next job / shop traveler is available and determine the most effective order to run on existing jobs.
o Responsible for monitoring and recording the daily attendance of the staff. o Responsible for supporting the preventive maintenance plan in their area of responsibility.
o Responsible for helping in the development of Production Supervisors I and / or leaders to develop their knowledge and encourage their participation in their absence.
o Verify that the operators / technicians under their care have the ability to solve production and assembly problems.
Education and Experience : o Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related career or its equivalent that qualifies you for the position.
o Must have 3 to at least 5 years of experience in a production environment. o Must have at least three years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
o Ability to perform equipment maintenance as necessary. o Requires a high degree of writing and verbal skills to communicate positively and effectively with all departments and the Management team.
o Knowledge of computers and programs including MS Office.
