Job Description

The Shared Services Center provides treasury services to the Latin America region for Brightstar using Treasury Management System, Microsoft AX and other legacy systems.

In this role you will be responsible of supporting Americas San Jose-based Treasury Function reporting directly into the Regional Treasury Supervisor.

This position will support corporate, regional and local treasury activities related to 20 Latin American Countries including cash management, banking operational activities, reporting and cash pooling strategies.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform a diversity of treasury operations for the Latin America markets, especially cash management activities such as cash positioning, forecasting, reporting, payment execution, and management of either excess or deficit of cash.
  • Implement short-term cash investment strategies within the provided guidelines. Maintain appropriate cash controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with external rules, requirements, and regulations as well as ensuring compliance to treasury policies and procedures.
  • Create and assess regional cash flow in order to support payments and request additional loans as needed.
  • Support business unit requests for bank account maintenance including, but not limited to, bank account openings, closings and changes associated with the account.
  • This includes preparing the necessary documentation (letters) for the bank, obtaining required signatures, legal documents, and communicating with the business unit upon set up.

  • Support inter-company netting and pooling activities where applicable.
  • Execute on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as regional dashboards defined by the SSC treasury operations and key stakeholders.
  • Understand, review, coordinate and resolve stakeholders' service issues and inquiries related to Regional Treasury operations.
  • Continue creating efficiencies to concentrate more treasury activities at the SSC.
  • Support finance and global projects where there are touch points with banks and / or cash and payments processes.
  • Support recommendation around recapitalization strategies according to each country regulation.
  • Support migration activities towards achieving centralization of treasury operations. Create and maintain procedures and workflow documentation
  • Treasury management system maintenance (Cash Visibility for Non-Connected Banks Accounts, Signers, Active / Close Accounts, FX Exposure)
  • Requirements / Skills

  • At least two years of proven treasury experience (specifically in Cash Management, bank administration management and payment support), remaining experience can be built around career paths that complement our treasury organization such us planning, financial analysis, or project management.
  • Bachelor in Business Administration or related.
  • Work in a shared services environment serving Latin America or Americas.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication in English both written and oral
  • Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting theory.
