Calix is leading a service provider transformation to deliver a differentiated subscriber experience around the Smart Home and Business, while monetizing their network through the use of Role based Cloud Services, Telemetry, Analytics, Automation and the deployment of Software Driven Adaptive networks.
As part of a highly functioning global team, the right candidate will play a critical role as Senior Software Engineer for Calix Support Cloud and be intimately involved in architecture design, implementation and technical leadership, to deliver innovative solutions that are fine-tuned to empower various tiers of customer care operations.
Design, develop and maintain backend infrastructure, services for enabling easy to use solutions for Customer Support organizations within service providers
Develop solutions to support onboarding, managing, collecting and analyzing data from large scale deployment of home networks.
Work closely with Cloud product owners to understand, analyze product requirements, provide feedback and deliver a complete solution
Technical leadership of software design in meeting requirements of service stability, reliability, scalability, and security
Participate and drive technical discussions within engineering group in all phases of the SDLC : review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team, provide internal training and support TAC team.
Guiding test strategy and test automation implementation in network traffic data services domain.
Customer facing engineering role in debugging and resolving field issues.
5 -10 years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience
Independent and Self driven and works in a Team
Strong, creative problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and share details to create meaningful articulation
Proficient with microservices-based, API / Endpoint architectures
Experience in / Knowledge of protocols & technologies for managing home gateways (TR-069 / TR-98 / TR-181), in-home services, monitoring and efficiently curating data from millions of IoT / WiFi devices a plus
Implementation background in various data processing, consumption patterns and pipelines
Experience in designing batch-based, real-time streaming and event-based data solutions
Experience with High-volume data storage, stream processing and low latency real-time analytics solutions.
Experience in cloud-based big data projects (preferably in either AWS or Azure)
5+ years working with the cloud-based / scale data warehouse (Elastic, Snowflake, Cassandra, Greenplum, RedShift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, etc.)
5+ years’ experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop ecosystem (MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Hive, Spark, Storm, Kafka, etc.)
Organized and goal-focused, ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
