This is an exciting opportunity to join a global team with highly skilled IT professionals. In the role, the Windows Server specialist (Infrastructure developer) will work as a member of a group of other Windows administrators providing support to Roche Main Datacenters around the globe.
The Windows Server specialist (infrastructure developer) performs Windows server 2nd and 3rd level support duties, including capacity planning, performance checking, advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other IT support teams, always following ITIL best practices and strict quality guidelines.
As a team member, you work within a group of other IT system administrators providing support to Roche Main Datacenters around the globe, performing activities which summarize as follows :
02nd and 03rd level support for the different Windows server versions (from Windows 2003 to Windows 2016) including failover cluster configurations.
Operation of SCCM for SW and patches deployment.
Continuous automation of tasks (using Microsoft traditional scripting technologies as well as infrastructure development tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Puppet).
Advanced troubleshooting of problems related to operating system & hardware with potential escalations to external vendors.
Participation in internal projects.
Coordination and execution of activities, sometimes required during weekends or out office hours.

In terms of qualification and experience, this is what we are looking for :
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or recognition of prior working experience which is equivalent.
Demonstrable minimum of 5 years of experience in remote administration Windows related server infrastructure. Required : Windows 2003 and above versions.
Desirable demonstrated experience with infrastructure development tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet)
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V)
