Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors.

They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.

Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary.

They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

What your background should look like :

Responsibilities :

All levelso Carry out inspection activities, when support is necessary.o Conduct training for staff to ensure compliance with company procedures.

o Collaborate with the initiation, investigation of Nonconformity Reports and ensure that the disposition of the nonconforming product or material is executed.

o Lead specific improvement projects assigned by the Quality Management.o Any other function required in the position, compatible with their skills.

For levels II, III, IV and Vo Manage the work schedule for the inspectors and assign the areas.o Monitor break times to ensure that employees are following the established break times.

o Disciplining inspectors when they are not performing their duties as required.o Interact with leaders and supervisors to ensure operators follow requirements.

o Interact with Production Control to facilitate activities.o Ensure a high level of service to internal and external customers.

o Follow all other duties assigned by the Quality Supervisor.o Any other function required in the position, compatible with their skills.

For levels III, IV and Vo Able to work in the validation and transfer teams, by generating the necessary documentation for said areas.

o Able to understand and work with metrology areas.o Any other function required in the position, compatible with their skills. Supervision :

Quality inspectors or no one, depending on the level or the assignments given by the quality management. Ratings :

Knowledge in handling MS packages, such as : Excell, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

Knowledge of troubleshooting tools.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as job travelers, plans, sketches, diagrams and other materials or process documents.

Fundamental knowledge of geometry, fractions, percentages, relationships, statistics, and measurement.

Ability to collect relevant data, establish the facts and find a solution.

Effective organizational / time management skills applied in a fast moving, pressure filled environment.

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, as well as in a team.
