Voltus Power Integrity is a crucial catalyst in enabling Cadence's MSA group to closely collaborate with our customers in ensuring our customers succeed soundly.
We are seeking candidates that have excellent understanding of Power Integrity flow at all phases of the RTL-GDSII design cycle.
In this role we expect the candidate to have a strong capability and an indubitable tenacity to contribute to developing high quality customer solutions to solve power integrity challenges.
We expect you understand the importance of the power integrity solution and the key role it plays during design implementation, sign-off, chip + package analysis, and system level simulations for SI and PI.
Knowledge of thermal analysis, interconnect modeling, and 3DIC is a big plus.
Empower and enable customers to isolate power integrity problems early on.
Develop stable, consistent, and quick solutions to such problems.
Design knowledge and experience in RTL-GDSII digital implementation, EM, IR, static and dynamic power analysis, ESD, and chip + pkg analysis is a must.
Knowledge and experience debugging EDA tool related issues (on-site and remote) while designing SOCs, ASICs, Custom ICs, etc.
Working knowledge of parasitic networks and modeling of capacitance, resistance, and inductance.
Experience and in-depth familiarity with Liberty syntax / specification, design constraints, STA, and delay calculation in the context of Power / IR / EM.
Preferable to have direct experience with Cadence EPS or Voltus, Apache RedHawk or RedHawk-SC, Synopsys power analysis products, or other equivalent products
Strong working knowledge and design implementation / analysis experience in Low Power design styles, multiple power domains, Power switches, and multiple supply voltages
Outstanding oral communication skills to deliver customer and marketing presentations, product updates, etc.
Ability to closely collaborate with R&D and product engineering on issues to develop solutions, roadmaps, customer campaigns, and specs development is strongly expected.
Ability to develop strong customer relationships is absolutely important. Crisp communication on workarounds and new tool fixes is important.
Experience in leading customer benchmark activities, pre-release unit testing, and new features adoption.
Must be motivated to mentor (and be mentored) by colleagues to increase team productivity.
Strong proficiency in at least two scripting languages such as Tcl and Perl / Python is a must.
A B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines with at least 3-5 years of experience.
An M.S. or Ph.D in electrical and computer engineering is preferred.
