We’re seeking an Officer I, AML Compliance, based in our Santa Ana, Costa Rica office . In this role, you will provide AML Compliance support to less-

complex and lower-risk agents of Western Union and its affiliates to build programs that are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and other anti-

money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses.

  • Supports agents' efforts to comply with company policies and procedures as they relate to anti-money laundering
  • Evaluates internal controls and anti-money laundering compliance programs for agents through transaction analyses, compliance reviews and training sessions
  • Responsible for follow up with agents concerning review findings
  • Work will be closely supervised until skills are consistently demonstrated
  • Work schedule : 6 : 00am to 3 : 00pm (Monday thru Friday)
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Strong verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be fluent in English (B2+) and Spanish
  • Must be fluent in French (B2+)
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • At least 4 years university education or equivalent working experience, required as minimum
  • Minimum one year experience in business-related field
  • Understanding of appropriate Money Services Business regulatory requirements, the Bank Secrecy Act and their effect on our business
  • Utilize industry standards and employ sound judgment to draw conclusions regarding the status of an agent's compliance program
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and experience with Lotus Notes
