The Network Engineer is responsible for operational support for globally deployed network systems like firewalls, routers and switches, including troubleshooting, technical analysis, and problem-solving expertise.

Under general direction, as a top-level contributor, administers, tests, implements, troubleshoots and maintains network infrastructure.

Advises management on new design direction of hardware infrastructure as it applies to local, regional and global operations.

Analyzes current environment for capacity planning and performance tuning based on corporate goals and alignments. Independently researches and resolves moderately to highly complex technical problems.

Be knowledgeable and up to date on current technologies, best practices, and BCD Travel technology and security policies and procedures

  • Proactively on an ongoing basis, learn and improve both the technical and communication skills required to perform their duties to the best of their ability.
  • Promptly complete all required BCD Travel procedure, process, and security training.

  • Education / Knowledge / Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in related area of responsibility in Network
  • Strong working familiarity with Cisco IOS / Nexus with hands-on experience configuring Cisco routers, switches and wireless
  • Understanding WAN networking and MPLS technologies
  • Good working knowledge of cisco command line
  • Knowledge of Enterprise system monitoring and management tools
  • Issue Resolution : Troubleshoots diagnoses and resolves network problems
  • Knowledge of Portuguese is preferred
  • IT / Telecom
