Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

As the Facilities Manager, You will

  • Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
  • Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
  • May have responsibility for establishing, overseeing and adhering to environmental health and safety standards.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Management during the initial startup phase and consolidation of manufacturing operations
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Facilities Technicians Management, studies and manages work requests.
  • In charge of budget planning and control for the facilities (buildings).
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts for maintenance work done by contractors.
  • Responsibility for revision and analysis of facilities suppliers and revision, analysis and supervision of contractors in different facilities works.
  • Responsibility for visitor control and facilities contracts including transportation, cafeteria and security services.
  • Management responsible for plant cleaning control and cleaning service personnel supervision.
  • Responsible for Medtronic’s Energy Conservation Program.
  • Must Have : Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience improving facilities and OPEX processes and / or implementing new planning and tools and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Spanish.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment with knowledge of FDA regulations is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Global and Local policies and procedures relevant to Quality which includes compliance & regulatory, control for manufacturing Medical Devices.
  • APICS, Lean Sigma, Power BI, SAP (desired)
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Excellence Program, including TPM, RCM, OEE.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects.
