What Site HR Manager, Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health

The HR Manager will plan, organize, direct, and control the operations of the HR Department and develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures regarding HR planning, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits planning and administration.

The position will coordinate, implement, and follow-up on all organizational and administrative aspects of the HR operations of the plant and will support to the Plant Manager in the areas of HR and strategic planning and effectively work with Corporate HR regarding corporate initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Understand and comply with all current plant policies and procedures.
  • Responsible and accountable for all HR functions in the facility.
  • Responsible for the total recruitment process for all hourly vacancies. Efforts include, but not limited to preparing newspaper advertisements, coordination with recruiting agencies, maintaining esource process, etc.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices. Conduct orientation for all new employees, which includes all necessary paperwork for new hires, informing new hires of company benefits, and going over the salaried employee handbook.
  • Assist all employees and members of management with the interpretation of company policies and procedures. Update, develop and review facility policies and procedures as needed.
  • Develop, administer and conduct any necessary training and employee development programs. Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals.
  • Responsible for all employee relations and welfare functions.
  • Monthly reporting for (local and Corporate) headcount, absenteeism, turnover, recruiting status, project updates and pending legal matters, etc.
  • Insure employee training database for the entire facility is current and accurate for all required training.
  • Performs other duties in line with business needs.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of successful management experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Advance proficiency in English and Spanish (read, write, speak).
  • Solid Leadership skills
  • Practical experience in '' Exactus '' and '' Workday ''
  • Compensation Methodology

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
