The Sustainability Data Analyst will be part of a team focused on the global commitment to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
This position will play a key role in leveraging the internal and external data sources to measure, analyze and report on carbon emissions which will shape the Procurement Sustainability strategy. What will you do?
Under general supervision manage the collection, analysis and reporting of key sustainability factors affecting carbon emissions
Understand, analyze, and be seen as a professional in sustainability data analysis & reporting processes
Leverage global third party data bases to model the carbon output for the global enterprise
Work with the extended Sustainability team to provide key analytical insights in data interpretation. Expected to deliver actionable information not simply data.
Work as a partner in suggesting and developing unique value added means to gather, analyze and action carbon emissions data
Develop tools and processes for automating key data inputs and ensure data quality
Track outstanding data issues to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Proactively engage with internal and external business partners across the supply chain to ensure that carbon data reporting supports the execution of sustainability goals
Work to create reliable data validation programs
Gather and validate emission factors and carbon data across all access of the business and supply chain
Work with suppliers and various companies to obtain and analyze carbon and consumption data
Understand and interpret environmental data ensuring proper use of models and emission factors
Conduct thorough carbon emissions data analysis to identify risks and opportunities
Present carbon emissions data insights and metrics How will you get here?Qualifications :
5 years experience in database management & analytics
Bachelors degree (Engineering, data management, environmental science)
Candidate must have experience in taking initiatives from concept through to full implementation
Conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking. Strong analytical skills
Capability to become an subject matter expert on carbon emissions measurement
Proven ability to interpret data and provide useful insights
Ability to assess both historical trend and forward looking predictive outcomes
Ability to influence strategically and persuade tactfully, to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining effective, positive, organizational relationships
Effective at working in a matrix organization
Ability to set and manage priorities
Skilled in database management
Advanced excel skills required
