Summary

Working within the B2C Retail Storage Marketing team, this key individual will be responsible for managing the Toshiba Americas’ B2C Consumer Storage business for US & Canada with focus on high capacity and high-performance Internal Drives. The key tasks will include: 1) development and execution of strategies and relevant programs for Toshiba’s B2C Consumer Product line, 2) creation of new product launch plans 3) development and management of marketing plans to promote the growth of the Toshiba Americas’ B2C Consumer HDD business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Toshiba Branded B2C Consumer Drives business for USA & Canada.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with ecommerce and B&M customers, including Amazon, and pricing/promotions in vendor central.
  • Develop and implement regional strategies to drive healthy business growth in revenue, volume and market share
  • Monitor and understand market dynamics, growing segments and competitors’ marketing strategies to define brand positioning, and develop a strategic pricing roadmap.
  • Collaborate with sales team, customers, and Japan HQ product management team to create a leadership, winning, and competitive product roadmap
  • Define and manage the marketing advertising and promotional budget, developing and implementing promotional strategies to optimize business profitability.
  • Collaborate in the creation of the financial budget with finance, business planning and executive team.
  • Work with sales team and Supply planning team on quarterly and monthly business forecasts.
  • Drive change through process innovation and process improvements that result in cost savings, improved revenue or decision making capabilities

Experience and Skills Requirements

•     BS/BA Marketing, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of applicable experience, preferably in the storage or consumer electronics industry.
  • Previous experience in working directly with Amazon and managing products/pricing/promotions in vendor central. 
  • Previous experience in working with B&M and driving in-store product/pricing/promotions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to recognize issues and to develop solutions & processes to exceed expectations.
  • A model team player who demonstrates supportive relationships with peers, subordinates, customers, and corporate executives.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade with a positive attitude to gain the confidence of both internal and external customers.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of building team consensus and collaborating across functional lines.
  • Expert proficiency with full MS Office Suite.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Excellent English language communication skills (Spanish or French is a plus)
