This is an essential administration role, in which the HR associate must partner effectively across all internal HR functions to ensure that data and HR records are accurately maintained and reviewed on a regular basis.
The individual will support the HRBP Regional Lead through the provision of timely and proactive administrative support and the implementation of human resources policies, programs and services.
Provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies and procedures.
Liaise with HR Connect team to complete candidate’s background checks
Manage the on-boarding process for new joiners of the MSC Costa Rica. This includes scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation and delivering HR Local induction session.
Administer physical employee files to ensure that we have all the documentation to be compliant with local regulations.
Main point of contact for local benefits enrolment. Serve as a liaison between the employees and the insurance broker. Maintain all required medical documentation in the physical employee files.
Support Talent Acquisition efforts by scheduling interviews and providing administrative support during the recruitment process.
Provide administrative support for talent management processes including but not limited to ranking exercises, promotion processes and exit interview analysis
Conduct exit interviews and execute exit process following global practices and local regulations. This includes processing employee terminations by notifying certain individuals and / or departments as directed.
Serve as point of contact for HR Connect, and escalate queries to HRBP Regional Lead as necessary.
Work with managers to document flexible work arrangements and track participation data
Pull monthly and adhoc reports based on HRBP Regional Lead request.
Assist Employee Relations & Investigations team by retrieving employee files, coordinating the logistics of an investigation and / or termination, and drafting necessary documentation to memorialize the end of an employment relationship as directed.
Suggest and recommend process improvements and works with team members to develop creative solutions to workflow issues.
Participate in specific projects as determined by HR management including functional and cross-functional initiatives. May own small projects independently
Requires a bachelor's degree Human Resources or a related field and at least 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
English, spoken and written fluency is essential.
Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a wide variety of tasks with a degree of creativity and latitude
Excellent MS Office skills including, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information and understands the need for confidentiality at all times
Demonstrate discretion and sound judgment
Prior experience in a financial company is preferred.
