As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will be based in San José, Costa Rica. You will be working at Roche Services Americas, which is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region.
In this role you will be reporting to Head of Procurement Operations Americas.
The Americas Regional Procurement team translates business requirements into Procurement activities and provides employees from facilities managers, brand teams, to research scientist with all day-
to-day procurement services. Our team represents Global Procurement to our regional stakeholders and is often the point of contact for employees to support their requirements for goods and services to sustain our business and operations.
We also ensure coordination and regional input into the wider Global Procurement organization, supporting our customers' future needs and proactively develop solutions.
As the Senior Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for the execution of various complex and high value operational Procurement activities for business prompted, and in some cases procurement driven sourcing requests within a specific region or site and for ensuring maximum possible Procurement impact and savings realization.
Additionally, reporting to the regional Head of Operations Procurement, you will have accountability for managing a team of sourcing professionals and will be responsible for managing local and regional stakeholders as part of overall integrated and aligned stakeholder management across Procurement.
Your responsibilities : People Management
Work with Human Resources to recruit and select high performing talent.
Lead operational sourcing team for specific stakeholder groups or areas of spend, ensuring a focus on cycle-times and quality of customer service.
Coach, mentor, and develop employees, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
Manage performance and talent development for all direct functional reports. Provide effective on-going coaching and performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
Maintain transparent communication.
Lead employees by delegating responsibility and developing and managing the appropriate framework for accountability (RACI) and feedback.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
Foster a compliance culture and demonstrate compliance leadership.
Operational Sourcing Activities
Perform operational sourcing activities - execute operational complex and high value sourcing requests within region or site.
Manage and / or lead a sourcing team aligned to the appropriate global / regional or local category strategy to develop and implement optimal total-
cost-of-ownership sourcing solutions and strategies that address supply business requirements, within prescribed timelines.
Responsible for maintaining communication within the Procurement network.
Apply the sourcing process & monitor KPIs.
Business Partnering, Category and Procurement Activities
Conduct operational Business Partnering with specific local and regional stakeholders.
Deliver Supplier Management activities for specific suppliers within the region and in alignment with the Global Category and Supplier Management teams.
Identify complex and high-level value opportunities to the Category and Supplier Management teams.
Provide input and feedback to the creation of Category Guides and Strategies.
Deliver Category Strategy execution and deliver certain related projects.
Deliver Operational Procurement execution and procurement support against business requirements, Category Strategy and Category Guides.
Support delivery of Transactional Procurement efficiencies and performance.
Your Qualifications :
Completion of university degree with business related degree preferred
10+ years business experience
5+ years operational end-to-end procurement experience including Sourcing, Supplier Management and Category Management
Knowledgeable in systems and processes for efficient management of contract documentation, templates and processing tools (e.
g. eSourcing, eAuction)
Business level fluency in English as well as primary business language of the site(s)
Experience as a team leader or supervisor is an advantage
Experience or demonstrated understanding in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs
Good communication skills and demonstrated understanding of translating business requirements into procurement specifications with customer service in mind
Experience or knowledge of Centre of Excellence or Shared Services operating environments
