Finance Operations Accounting and Analysis (FOAA) is seeking for a Finance Project Manager to support the launch of Global and Americas Projects in a manner fitting with our "Customer Obsession", Deliver Results and Insist on Highest Standard philosophy.
The Finance Project Manager responsibilities include preparation and review of Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Accounting Requirement Documents (ARD), and Journal Entry Mapping;
communication with FOAA internal and external stakeholders to plan project milestones and overall project timelines. This position will have a strong focus on orchestration among different teams and will also utilize the finance / accounting skills to ensure a flawless deployment of projects and solutions.
This position will also play an important role in promoting systems / process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.
The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of our customers.
The main responsibilities of this role, will include :
Lead project launches for Americas Region.
Represent FOAA in cross functional team’s project meetings.
Ensure proper review of accounting flow for new Amazon Projects.
Communicate to functional process owners’ new projects and explain impacts to current processes.
Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended.
Resolve complex accounting issues and implement process controls.
Drive process improvements required to enhance controls and quality of reconciliations and related processes.
Maintain regular communications and metrics reporting at Senior Manager and Director level.
Lead across functional systems and process improvement initiatives.
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Accounting with 7+ or more years of post-qualification experience
Degree in Project Management
Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills.
Zeal towards operational excellence / process improvement & simplification.
Strong customer focus (both Internal / External).
A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
Experience in problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to understand business processes and hypothesize accounting recommendations in ambiguous / white spaces new program initiatives
