Job Description

Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages the operations of the manufacturing department to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are met.

Initiates and sets priorities for manufacturing projects that support business needs.

Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees. Reviews production costs and product quality and enhance profitable operation.

Implements organizational goals and objectives and initiates related to company goals, lean, process improvement at a world class level.

Sets priorities for manufacturing projects in conjunction with needs of the business leaders.

Manages manufacturing teams cost, cycle time and delivery objectives.

Ensures functional objectives relating to product costs, product quality and product availability, and manufacturing efficiency are met and monitors progress.

Assures that the processes within manufacturing comply with the Quality System and Regulatory requirements.

Coordinates the introduction of new products / processes into production.

Prepares and Delivers Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Ops Presentations.

Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing.

REQUIREMENTS : EDUCATION :

EDUCATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree business administration, engineering, operations, management or related discipline
  • Master’s Degree in related field is highly desirable
  • KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Requires 10+ years of production experience at a supervisory level or higher.
  • Requires 8+ years in a medical device company
  • Medical device experience and familiarity with GMP and ISO regulatory requirements
  • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :

  • Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement are highly desirable
  • SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Strong process orientation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
  • People development oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate at all levels in the organization

  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives
