This is a home-based sales position representing the Andaz Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

This position requires a strong customer service focus, attention to detail, ability to research and generate reports for account prospecting, comfort with complex negotiations and problem resolution, strong presentation and communication skills, and flexibility to adjust priorities and actions to adapt to a dynamic operating resort environment.

English language fluency and strong written communication skills are required. Spanish language fluency is preferred, but not required.

The sales territory will include Eastern USA, Southeast and some key third party accounts managed vertically. Preferred home office location in Florida or Georgia, but this is flexible.

As Group Sales Manager, you will

  • Understand the competitive landscape and do what it takes to secure business that meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals.
  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels for prospecting, such as historical booking reports, web research, outside calls, and leveraging relationships to generate business referrals.
  • Understand the client’s vision and program requirements to effectively contract the group and convey the specifications to appropriate departments to ensure successful program operation.
  • Build strong relationships by rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience to promote future sales.
  • Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to grow business with key accounts and tapping into relevant organizations to elevate the hotel’s market awareness for future business.
  • Conduct memorable and unique site inspections at the resort, ensuring that Andaz stands apart from competing resorts to be seen as the preferred choice for group events.
  • Qualifications

    Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management. Minimum 3 years work experience as Sales Manager.

    Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must. Spanish and English fluency are required.
