JobPurpose / Overview

Drive asustainable model to grow in the modern trade while leveragingstrong brands and deep channel knowledge. Costa Rica UTT (not included Walmart) represents15% of volume in Confectionery (chocolate, gums and fruityconfection) and Pet Care categories in Costa Rica.

Opportunity lies within perfect store implementation to exploitpotential in high traffic stores and map out opportunities forsmaller trade.


  • Portfolio Management : ensuring& recommending the right products, in the rightplace, at the right time with 100% focus on core & theirnumeric distribution increasing.
  • Budget Controls : manage & recommend tradeinvestments only with healthy ROIs of at least 4 to 1 to ensurelong term brand building aligned to market strategy.
  • Ensure healthyinventory levels in each customer s warehouses.

  • Business Planning & Development : ability to proactively anticipatechannel and market dynamics by having multiple contingency plansavailable to ensure sales maintain pace & don’t suffer
  • Perfect Store : implement perfect store practices forUTT customers. Sell Out data analysis to measure the impact ofthese implementationsin-stores.
  • Customer Relation : able to relate to people at all levelsin the organization to build and manage internal / externalrelationships involving all stakeholders.
  • Category Expertise : understand, apply and transfercategory & brand knowledge by working closely with CategoryLeaders & CustomerMarketing.
  • Numericalapproach : able to use sell-out data for fact-basedarguments & go beyond with shopper insights that can helptransform thebusiness

    Context andScope

  • Planning & negotiate Mars businessobjectives in the UTTcustomers.
  • Growing the business and staying onpace with solid planning, organization KPI tracking &execution; while guaranteeing synergies with our functionaldepartments like finance andlogistics.
  • The associate will need to developstrong influencing without authority with support teams : CustomerMarketing, Category, Execution andSupply.
  • All actions based on Mars Five Principles and reportingto the Costa Rica Market DevelopmentLead.
  • JobSpecifications / Qualifications

    Education & ProfessionalQualification : Bachelordegree plus professional certifications. MBA degree could beconsidered as well as equivalent experience with supervision,finance or marketing studies.

    Knowledge / Experience :

    4-6years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years managing CR UTTcustomers (not included Walmart).

    EnglishKnowledge :

    Intermedium knowledge : speaking, written and reading.
