Role Description :
Neustar Automations and Tools team needs another super smart Sr DevOps Engineer in our environment to continue to grow and scale.
You will be a critical member of an agile engineering team working to solve real customer problems and building top tier solutions.
In this role, you will build, support, and maintain CI / CD deployments and will be responsible for ensuring that the applications can be successfully built and working all the time in all the environments.
Working on integration between the systems we support and other operations teams. This person needs to have minimum 4 years of Software integration implementation knowledge and leveraging automation of software patch and build management and enhancing existing processes to improve them continuously.
Ability to work unsupervised and seek out work with minimal direction. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated Sr DevOps engineer with a passion for containerized services and systems automation.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage systems and prove necessary deployment, support, or maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack.
Build automation and monitoring to help prevent problem recurrence.
Design, develop, execute software builds / releases / scripts / installs / systems including Source Code Control and Issue tracking.
Design, develop and support all high-quality software updates to Test (QA / Staging- UAT / Production)
Ensure required documentation is created / stored related to code / configuration changes. Coordinate efforts for all builds requests for all platforms.
Admin / escalation support for Jira, Confluence, Selenium Grid, Gary Log, Resolve Systems
Be the point person for POC of new software, emerging open source technologies, and intake of existing tool sets
Take the lead on Web Services integrations between the systems we support and other systems throughout the company
Conduct DevOps tools research, evaluations, POCs, installation, configuration, and training
Help to lead technical decisions on how and when to use AWS public could.
Mentor junior members of the team
Required Experience and Skills :
Strong foundation in DevOps and Agile methodology
Strong scripting skills, i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
Advanced Linux administration knowledge
Experience in developing and maintaining CI / CD process using tools like Git, Jenkins.
Experience in build and maintaining cloud-based solutions with AWS
AWS Certification preferred
Strong working knowledge of Web Services i.e., REST, JSON, etc
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, etc.
Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment
Must be willing to learn new DevOps technologies and keep up with the latest and greatest technology stack
Experience maintaining and supporting Jira, Confluence, Selenium Grid, Gray Log
Event Automation experience with Resolve Systems is a plus
ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
