We are in search for an exceptional Analytics leader to be a strategic partner to eBay’s most senior leaders. As this partner, your charter will be to leverage and direct our data to drive innovation and growth for all of eBay North Americas Region.
The Senior Director, Analytics will lead the day-to-day and strategic insights guiding investment and decisions that drive growth and improve customer experience.
They will be responsible for leading the team to design metrics, provide measurement, and deliver critical insights that improves decisions throughout the entire organization.
This team resides within eBay’s Global Analytics org, reporting to the VP of Global Analytics, and also works cross functionally with other data, research, and analytics teams.
The right candidate will need to be business and analytically savvy, as well as demonstrate the leadership quality to take the Analytics Team to the next level.
This role is business-focused at its core, while being deeply rooted in relevant insights developed from data. They will need to have strong knowledge of analytics, modeling, experiments, business intelligence, and tools for extracting and manipulating data at-scale’, as well as a deep understanding of how customer-centric analytics can effectively drive global business decisions.

Develop critical understanding of our business and data that would allow for one to proactively identify opportunities to deliver solutions and insights.
Deliver business insights, high-impact analyses, and financial modeling to the Americas Markets Team.
Drive analytics as a strategic business asset at the executive level and championing how eBay uses this asset to identify areas in which to invest, sellers to pursue, markets to penetrate and / or more strategically develop.
eBay is a data-rich company, and critical to the success of this role will be the ability to convert high volumes of data into commercially impactful knowledge through statistical best practice.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Excellent analytical skills and ability to quickly conceptualize and deliver solutions that consistently exceed expectations.
Agile methodology for project management and development.
Hands-on experience in latest tools for extracting and manipulating data at-scale’ (Dashboards, light visualization, Tableau).
Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity. Endless curiosity to find the truth, and ability to combine science and art in analysis & synthesis.
Developed problem-solving skills, analytical orientation, and an ability to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions.
Team oriented with a collaborative approach that can interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity.
The ideal candidate for the position should have a BS undergraduate degree, an MBA and / or Master’s in a quantitative discipline preferred, with more than ten years of analytics experience.
Also, significant experience with C-Suite and Global platforms.
