The Accountant II will lead the Accounting Team and will be responsible for :
1) Directs and coordinates the work of a number of accounting associates in one or more core functions of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general ledger.
2) Ensures procedures are in place to provide for the timely and accurate payment of invoices, for processing receivables in a timely manner, and to assure accurate and timely month end / year end reporting.
3) Ensures adequate financial controls are in place to support the integrity of the accounting system and safeguard the company's assets.
4) Contributes to the budgeting and forecasting process. Manages and controls expenses and departmental budget effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include :
Lead Accounting staff
Support team and departmental goals
Support the monthly close process and review journal entries
Review account reconciliations
Close all business units in region accurately and timely
Lead the journal entry process
Lead the close checklist process
Review staff balance sheet account reconciliations monthly
Support the interim and year-end financial audits
Continuously work to streamline and automate reconciliation process
Review AP batch processes
Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process
Provide ADHOC research and reporting to / for Manager, Director and regional finance
Set team goals annually and monitor quarterly to ensure achievement
Coach and mentor direct reports and staff
Perform annual performance evaluations and monitor discuss quarterly
Utilize PeopleSoft and Agresso in creating and / or generating Operational & Quality statistical reports.
Complete mandatory financial reporting to Governmental agencies.
Prepare statistical reporting on sales and transactions.
Update PeopleSoft templates in cases where there are changes to the business units or accounts for instance.
Perform translation of foreign units into US dollar. Also perform allocations of statistical data.
Prepare the Consolidated Reporting Package (CRP).
Record elimination entries on the balance sheet and P&L
Assist in the input of the cash flow data
Assist in the input of the capital expenditures data
Assist with the preparation of the Country Monthly Management report. This includes updating all charts and graphs and financial figures within the report.
Primarily responsible for closing the ledgers at the end of the month.

Lic. in Public Accounting
Excellent customer service skills
Strong accounting software experience (SAP, PeopleSoft, Agresso)
Ability to work in a fast paced environment; ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Able to work extended and off-hours as required
5+ years of experience in accounting Good communication skills, oral and written Proficiency in Microsoft Office application including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
NIIF, Taxes and Free Zone knowledge
Budged, forecast and ADHOC reports experience
Public accounting experience and CPA
